Week 4—52 Week Preparedness Challenge
Stock Up – Ensuring You Have Enough Food
You’re making great progress on your preparedness journey! Now that you’ve secured your water supply, it’s time to focus on food storage. Having a reliable food supply can make all the difference in an emergency, providing you with sustenance, stability, and peace of mind. Let’s make sure you and your family are covered!

Weekly Challenge:
- Week Four Focus: Stockpile a Two-Week Food Supply.
- Task: Gather non-perishable food items that your household regularly eats. Aim for at least two weeks’ worth of food, including canned goods, dried foods, and meal-ready options. Ensure you have a balanced variety of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
- Remember: Don’t forget to add vitamins and minerals; drinks, like coffee or tea; and hydration drinks can’t hurt either.
**Mantra: Eat what you store and store what you eat. We talk about this on the podcast shows a lot. No one wants to brave the apocalypse with nothing but cardboard protein bars!
- Tip: Rotate your food supply to keep it fresh. Label items with purchase dates and use the “first in, first out” method to prevent spoilage. Consider special dietary needs and include comfort foods to maintain morale during stressful times.
We Want to challenge you a little more this week so look at what we tossed in another resource and extra challenge.
